At Sturtevant Chapel, we want to encourage each person to take the next step in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Coming to a church, you may not know what the next steps are. Here is what we are trying to accomplish as we all grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ.
Guest- We love it when we have guests join us for worship. We are a group of imperfect people worshipping a perfect Savior. As you join us, please come as you are and leave changed by God's Word. Click
here to learn what to expect.Attend- Once you come for a few weeks we consider you a regular attender. This is when you sign in and become part of our church family. We have many opportunities for people connect. Whether this is through food, small groups, or service projects. It is a time to get to know one another and become part of our church family.
Join- At Sturtevant, we value church membership and desire to make sure each person knows what we believe. To join (church membership) is a three step process. Step 1 is to meet with Pastor Tom to discuss what the church believes and how those beliefs impact our practices. This can be done over coffee or at a family dinner. Step 2 is to meet with our Elders and share your testimony and what gifts or talents God has given you. Step 3 the elders bring your name before the church membership at one of our quarterly church meetings. After that, you are officially part of the Sturtevant Chapel family.
Serve- Once you are in church membership, you are able to serve- from greeter to teacher (an anything in between). We desire that each person spread the Good News of Jesus Christ with the gift/talent God has given you.
